Venom is Spider Man’s deadliest foe and Marvel’s greatest anti-hero. Comic book writer Donny Cates has been working on the new Venom series since the relaunch in 2018. This Marvel comics series has been one of our favorites. We discuss the up-coming story arc, ‘Venom Beyond’ from writer Donny Cates.

Notorious comic book writer Donny Cates has been working on several Marvel comics series. Series such as Doctor Strange, Thanos, Silver Surfer Black, Cosmic Ghost Rider, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor and Venom.
Donny Cates was asked by a fan on his Twitter account about his Venom run. Cates had replied to the fan, explaining he had a five year plan for the character. Which would take place in an overarching story spanning the series.
So far, Venom volume 1 titled “Rex”. Introduces the reader to a story about the symbiotes and symbiote lore. We are also introduced to Knull, God of the Symbiotes. The Second volume titled “The Abyss”, in this chapter readers dive more into who Eddie Brock is and his family. Readers also learn about Eddie’s inner conflict’s and meeting his son, Dylan Brock.

Absolute Carnage begins a prelude to larger events connected to the current story arc titled ‘Venom Island’.
Eddie is stranded on a desolate island where he fights for his life and Venom’s. This is the same island where Venom had killed Spider Man in Amazing Spider man issue #347. The most current arc, ‘Venom Island’ will conclude with a giant 25th issue. The next part of Cates planned out Venom run, seems to be unfolding beyond expectations.
Venom #25 retails at $5.99. The recent shut down of Diamond publishers and because of the COVID pandemic. The release has been delayed to May 27, 2020.

‘Venom Beyond’ by Donny Cates
The next story arc begins in Venom issue #26. This will be the next chapter in Cates five year Venom plan. This next chapter will look into the future of Eddie Brock and Venom.
There will be an appearance of a new character within this issue. This will have an impact across the numerous series Cates has been working on for Marvel comics. This would be one issue worth adding to your pull list today!
Venom #26 retails at $3.99. The release has been delayed, due to the COVID pandemic. The release date Wednesday July 15, 2020.
