Guardians of the Galaxy Issue #1 by Al Ewing

After years of warfare, there is a moment of peace in the galaxy between the Kree and Skrull nations. However, a new cosmic threat suddenly arrives to destroy the Galaxy. It’s time for the ragtag team of Guardians to step in and stop this new threat. But fighting a group of reborn gods, the Guardians might be in over the heads on this one.

Al Ewing

Al Ewing is a British comic book writer. He started his career writing several five-page stories titled Future Shocks, which was introduced in the graphic novel 2000AD. Eventually, he moved on to writing for Judge Dredd. Recognized by author Garth Ennis (The Boys, Preacher, Punisher). He made his American comic book debut after writing a six-part arc for the Dynamite Entertainment Comic series, The Ninjettes.

He has written several Marvel Comics series. Such as the Mighty Avengers, New Avengers, US Avengers, Rocket, Royals, and Immortal Hulk.

Including his series Ultimates, which included characters such as Black Panther, Blue Marvel, Spectrum, Ms America and Captain Marvel. The heroes come together to deal with the earth’s greatest comic threat, Galactus. During the Secret Empire Storyline, the Ultimates assist the Guardians of the Galaxy. So this one is worth a read.
