True Detective
Created by Nic Pizzolatto (Author of Between Here and the Yellow Sea, Galveston) .
The series is best known for acting, cinematography, writing and direction. Nic Pizzolatto wrote the entire first season and the first part of season two. Pizzolatto had other projects in the works including adapting his successful novel, Galveston into a feature film. He then passed the reigns over to novelist/ screenwriter, Scott Laser. Now the principle photography for season one began in November of 2013 and each episode was shot with 35 mm film. Another interesting fact about the series, it originally was shot in Arkansas but was then opted for Louisiana setting for the season by Pizzolatto.
