Superbowl 55 delivered some exciting moments. Including a new trailer for the upcoming Disney + series, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. At the end of Avengers Endgame, the mantel of Captain America was passed on to Sam Wilson. Along with Bucky Barnes, the two are ready to set out on a new adventure. Here we discuss the upcoming series, the ties to the comics, and a look at the new trailer.

Falcon & The Winter Soldier | Marvel Cinematic Universe

The new series will focus on Sam Wilson, the Falcon. As he teams up with Bucky Barnes, the Winter Soldier, in a worldwide adventure that puts their abilities to the test as they fight the anarchist group the Flag Smashers.

In September 2018, the series was announced. The upcoming six-episode limited series will be developed by writer Malcolm Spellman. Since the announcement, both Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie have expressed their interest in the series. After learning that the series would be written in the style of a buddy comedy.

Remember the events of Avengers Endgame, where Steve Rogers had gone back to return the infinity stones. In the process, he makes the decision to stay behind and enjoy his life.

Leaving the mantle of Captain America and his shield in the capable hands of Sam Wilson, the Falcon.

John Walker was first introduced as the supervillain Super-Patriot, in Captain American #323. Created by writer Marc Gruenwald and comic book artist Paul Neary. The character was recreated by Gruenwald as the U.S. Agent in Captain America issue #354.
