We are always hearing about superhero movies and tv shows from the big two, Marvel and DC. However, we are about to get an R-rated superhero show based on the Image Comics series Invincible by Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead, Oblivion Song), Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley. Invincible’s first season will be rated R and contains 8 episodes and be available to stream through Amazon. The first three hour-long episodes will debut on March 26, 2021. From there we will get one episode a week until April 30th.

Here is the official synopsis from Variety:

The series revolves around seventeen-year-old Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), who’s just like every other guy his age — except that his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons). As Mark develops powers of his own, he discovers that his father’s legacy may not be as heroic as it seems.
