The Eisner Awards are announced and the winners are in! Every year we are excited to hear about the award winning comic series, creators and the other talented winners. Here we made a list of all the award winners and nominees. Check out the talented writers, artists, inkers, and series from this years awards ceremony.
Eisner Awards
The Eisner Awards are held each year during San Diego Comic International Convention (SDCC). The best in the comic book industry come out to honor new creators and inductees into the hall of fame. The awards are considered to be the Academy Awards for the comic book industry. Its predecessor, the ‘Kirby Awards‘, served as the award ceremony from 1985-1987.
The awards were created in 1988, along side with the Harvey Awards. Another award ceremony honoring comic book writers, illustrators, inkers, etc. Since 2017, The Harvey Awards ceremony takes place during the events of New York City Comic Con.
This years Eisner Awards were announced by the talented actor and comedian, Phil LaMarr. Phil is a well known voice actor, who has worked on several iconic animated series. Such as Justice League, Samurai Jack, Futrama, Phienas and Ferb & Bo Jack Horseman.
